On Wednesday 17th April, our VP GREEN organisation, whose mission is to develop eco-friendly actions on a daily basis, organised a mega waste collection. All our employees rallied round to do something environmental for our region!
In fact, the Luminy faculty area is all too often inundated with rubbish spilling out from the bins that tip over because of strong mistral winds or wild boars seeking food.
This waste goes directly into the Calanques National Park and ends up in the sea.
In collaboration with the Head of Faculties at Luminy and the support of the ‘1 piece of waste per day’ association, our 250 Voyage Privé employees, staff teams and Provence Rugby players, along with École des XV pupils, spent the afternoon picking up as much waste as possible.
In the end, nearly 400 kg of waste was collected and sorted. It was a great moment of togetherness and also of learning about the correct way to recycle, so that everyone can do the same at home, on a domestic scale.
The day ended at the Bistrot Plage restaurant, which borders the sea on the magnificent Corniche roadway in Marseille.
